Sip of sunshine massachusetts1/24/2024 ![]() ![]() Crystal malt sweetness lends a welcome middle flavor followed by some bittering hops that hit the back of my tongue in fast esh and leafy! Overall I welcome the muted complete flavor profile with this one.I can certainly appreciate the entire character on the palate with nothing in my face. T- The flavors follow the aromas to a degree, with the fruitiness leaning more into the tropical notes.the pineapple has a little more tartness to it, that of a less ripe fruit.mango and guava follow in.don't get me wrong, there is still some citrus, but it is more bitter, like the rind of a Florida orange or Tangelo. The finish is of slight pine needle/juniper berry and bittering hop oiliness, keeping it clean on the nostrils. Secondary aromas of tropical fruit (pineapple/mango/guava), bread yeast, slight vanilla and cracker type biscuits. S- Immediate juicy citrus (think blood orange/tangerine/pomelo), rounded malt robustness, and again with juicy hop essence. The lacing lacks somewhat, swiftly retreating back into the liquid and leaving a bit of an oily looking film.the carbonation is somewhat hard to see through the cloudiness of this IPA, but what I do see seems to be in tight columns and of smaller bubbles. A- The coloration of this one is golden amber and with is quite hazy, perhaps chill hazed, and with background hues of orange, gold and pineapple.Lovely off white colored head that is a nice solid two fingers thick, and maintains its fluffy cloud like body well, eventually settling down to around one finger. ![]()
